KIT Coaching ≠ Psychotherapy
KIT-Coaching is a development-focused, future-oriented method. It is not a form of therapy, healthcare, or psychological treatment. KIT Coaches do not diagnose, treat symptoms, or provide clinical interventions.
How to Present Your Competence Correctly
As a future KIT Coach, you must:
- Describe your role honestly and accurately
- Avoid using therapeutic terminology unless clinically trained
- Clearly differentiate coaching from therapy in all communication
- Respect the limits of your professional scope
Transparency is essential for client trust and safety.
What You Are Not Allowed to Do
Unless you hold separate clinical qualifications, you may not:
- Treat mental health conditions
- Use protected professional titles (e.g., psychologist, therapist)
- Give clinical advice
- Work with clients whose needs exceed the scope of coaching
In such cases, referral to appropriate healthcare professionals is required.
