The Certification Process

The certification process evaluates whether the trainee is ready to practice independently as a KIT Coach.

Assessment

Candidates are assessed on:

• Coaching competence
• Application of the KIT and Arrow models
• Ethical awareness
• Reflective skills
• Professional maturity

Assessment may include written assignments, practical demonstrations, and supervised work.

Ethical Requirements

All candidates must demonstrate understanding of and commitment to:

• The KIT Code of Conduct
• Confidentiality and data protection
• Boundary management
• Appropriate use of power and responsibility

Ethics form the foundation of professional practice.

Expectations for Professional Development

Certification is not the end of learning. New KIT Coaches are expected to:

• Engage in ongoing supervision
• Continue CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
• Stay updated on professional standards and emerging research
• Maintain reflective practice

This ensures long-term quality in the coaching profession.
