To maintain consistency and integrity across the profession, all KIT Coaches must adhere to the following guidelines.
Use of the Title "KIT Coach"
Only coaches who are Active may:
- Present themselves as KIT Coaches
- Use the title in marketing, bios, websites, or professional profiles
Distinctions:
- Certification — Indicates training completion, not permission to practice.
- Active Status — Indicates compliance with supervision and ethical requirements.
- Membership in the Association — Represents affiliation but is not a credential in itself.
Use of the KIT Logo
Approved uses include:
- Personal websites
- Professional presentations
- Email signatures
In all cases: the logo may not be modified, it must not imply endorsement beyond certification or active status, and it may not be used by non-active coaches.
Marketing & Claims
Coaches must ensure their marketing:
- Is accurate, honest, and respectful
- Reflects their true qualifications
- Does not make unfounded promises or therapeutic claims
- Clearly distinguishes coaching from therapy, consulting, and management functions
